maori life before the europeans

Today I have been learning about Maori life before Europeans. This text is about Maori life.

They were there in the northern part of new zealand.

The maori and europeans in the northern.

This even happened in 1642. they had a war between maori and some other county.

In the forest then found roots,berries,snails,insects and birds. Maori people wrestled the boys for war so the they get strong and fight for there land and food.

5 facts about the olden days for maoris.

1 The greenstone is like jewelry for maoris they have to bless the greenstone first if your maori.

2 They used stones to make the houses,and they make a hut for their kids.

3 they fight for there land and food

4 they catch their food like fish,birds,eels and carbs where there bear hands or sharp sticks.

5 there family lived in iwi (tribes) all together they go together they stay next together as a group.

today we did cooking. i did cooking with lopesen and myself we cooked food that was sweet and sour pork

step1 soak vermicelli, with hot water

the desert kaupoi

This week I have been reading a text called desert Kaupoi written by Ariana Tikao. the key idea is bravery. An example of bravery is when someone is sacrificing their life for other people. one of the soldiers got shot in the arm he got his arm and thought it at the machine guns and then it got jammed in. Another key idea in this text is heroism. An example of heroism is when people save other people. the first day two of there soldiers got attacked on the first day.

step 2 fry it till its soft
step 3 stir for 5 minutes
step 4 add spinach
step 5 add the cream + spaces sait
step 6 add spinach
step 7 service it whti rice
